Julian Cheung Chilam (Traditional Chinese: 張智霖; Simplified Chinese: 张智霖), born August 27, 1971 in Hong Kong, with family roots in Nanhai, Guangdong, is a famous Hong Kong television and movie star as well as singer.

Early life
When Chilam was 16 years old, he migrated to Sydney, Australia with his father and attended Pendle Hill High School. Chilam's parents divorced when he was 13, and afterwards, both of them had a second marriage. Yet 13 years later, with Chilam's help and effort, his parents reconciled and were re-married in 1996, unfortunately, later on in the following years, his parents had a second divorce till today.
Career
At the end of 1990, the 19-year-old Chilam visited Hong Kong during his summer vacation and was reacquainted with his cousin, Anna Ueyama (上山安娜), who had grown up with Chilam under the same roof during their childhood. Anna introduced Chilam to his first manager, Tony. He then recorded his first album - a duet album with Hong Kong singer Maple Hui Chau-Yi (許秋怡). The debut album, Modern Love Story, was released by the record company Fitto in 1991 and was an immense success. This album was on IFPI Album Sales Chart for 11 weeks, and as of 2007 still holds the IFPI record for newcomer singers. In 1992, Chilam starred in his first TVB series "Peak of Passion". In 1993, he acted in his very first movie, "A Warrior's Tragedy". In 1995, he starred in the TVB hit drama Cold Blood Warm Heart (天地男兒), and his brilliant performance made him a household name and boosted his career in the Hong Kong entertainment industry.
After CBWH, he transitioned into movies such as Perfect Match and Comic King. He returned to TVB in 2000 in the series Return of the Cuckoo (十月初五的月光), which was an immense success, with peaks like 40 points! His most current TVB dramas include Take My Word For It, Point of No Return and Shades of Truth. Chilam has also found success in the Mainland entertainment industry with starring roles in the television series Ni Shui Han, Lu Xiao Feng, and Mei Li Xin Tian Di.
In 1993, Chilam met his former girlfriend, now wife Anita Yuen Wing-Yee.Anita is a famous actress and a former Miss Hong Kong. Chilam first worked with Anita in one of his MTV shooting Miss You Much.
They were secretly married in San Franciso, America. And on May 10 2006, Anita confirmed the fact that she was three months pregnant with Chilam's child. On November 12 2006, Anita gave birth to a baby boy, named Morton.
