Kung Fu Master Yuen Biao Returns To Small Screen
TVB series The Ultimate Crime Fighter <通天幹探> will begin airing on 08 October 2007, following the finale of The Drive of Life <歲月風雲>.
Cast members from the show including Moses Chan (陳豪), Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), Yuen Biao (元彪), Gigi Lai (黎姿) and Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) joined producer Amy Wong (王心慰) for a press conference to introduce the show today. Kung Fu master Yuen has had proven his good relations with TVB by filming a series for them every couple of years.
Cheng has a guest appearance in this series, but his solo photograph appears in both designs of the promotional poster, whereas leading cast member Chan only appears in the group photographs. Wong explained that the posters were created by the design team, but in her mind there is no favouritism and everyone is equal.
Asked whether he felt he was being promoted due to his status after winning the Best Actor award last year, Cheng said that this is not the case and he only found out after the photo shoot that they would be pushing the theme of good and evil. He insisted that they were two separate incidents and asked whether or not he will win the award again, he said that there have been many other quality series such as Heart of Greed <溏心風暴> and Father and Son <爸爸閉翳>, so he feels another win would be unlikely.
Chan says he does not mind not having a solo photograph in the poster as long as the series does well.
Mung plays a fighter in the series and she did many of her own stunts during filming. She recalled the most memorable scene was when she had to wear high heels and a short skirt whilst jumping in and out of a car during a chase scene. Fortunately, she completed the scene in one take and this left her feeling very contented.
