Synopsis
Lok (Simon Yam) is now holding his position as triad boss unthreatened. As a new election time nears, Lok contemplates breaking with triad tradition, attempting to seek re-election for himself. At the same time, Jimmy (Louis Koo) is trying to escape the triads by building a legitimate business empire in mainland China.However, to maintain his business & his dream in China, Jimmy has to be elected as new boss.So the fighting between them begin !!!

In general
-For me Johny To is the best HK director .All of his movies has both good casts' acting & good plot .Although someone criticize him about his hollywood style, I don't care at all.
-This movie is the sequel of Election I in 2005 but you don't have to watch the previous movie to understand this movie.However, If you have ever watch Election I, you will not be scared of bloody scenes in this movie toomuch.Yes, that is why it got rate 18+restriction in HK.Actually, there is not many bloody scenes but
only one peak scene of cruelty is enough(hint : do not watch this movie before your meal)
-The light & sound give me "The Godfather" feeling !!!
Cast acting
-This is the movie that can show real Louis' ability.Being mister cool (& cruel ) under his handsome face is exactly Louis.Every scene that he appears can catch my attention.
-Also we can called this is Louis' real movie cause he is the focus .Simon Yam & Nick Cheung are also do his job well.
Plot
-Someone said it is not interesting as Election I was.
-However, I have different idea. In Election I , I see only dark side of people in this triad. But in this one everyone have both sides, good & bad.
Louis seems to be good man who wants to run legal business & has happy family but for his success he can do any bad things.However, he still care about his wife who get involved in triad thing because of the election.
Simon continues showing bad image from Election I but his fatherhood in his last scene of Election II can chage my idea totally.
My favorite scenes
-The moment of Louis & Nick Cheung sit in the car together after Louis' wife hit Nick'head with bottle of vodka before run away
-When Louis sits in luxurious car while Nick runs away from group of gangsters on the footpath. Louis's facial expression when he says "Turn the car around" & when he gives Nick his card are so cool !!!!
-Simon Yam & the stairs
-Simon Yam's car turn right but his son turn left at the crossroad
Conclusion
-Must Watch this movie if you are Louis' fan or You like the Godfather
-Do not watch this movie if you like pizza hut "meat lover" topping
