Gigi Lai Thanks God’s miracles for her brother’s improvement in recovery

Since Gigi Lai’s brother Lai Ying had an accident last year it had completely changed her life. She had temporarily put her acting career aside to take care of her brother. Many people feel she had sacrificed a lot for her family, but she states “We are a family and nothing else matters”. She started acting when she was 14 to earn money for the family and her family will always be most important to her.

It’s already been a year since Lai Ying’s car accident. Gigi accepted an interview with “Angel Heart” magazine. She explained that her mood and feelings are a lot different from how she felt in May last year. Her brother’s recovery had improved massively and she had also became an Christian. She understands that life’s path is not smooth and easy. She believes that god had been there for her throughout the hardest times.
Gigi states that the accident had affected her brother’s ability to speak. She had been trying to find a speech therapist to help him. Fortunately by hospital and friend contacts she had found a speech specialist who was an Christian. Originally the speech specialist hadn’t decided to help her due to a busy work schedule. But the specialist left the decision in god’s hands by praying that if god really needed her to help Lai Ying, to ask her husband to call her within 15 minutes. In the end her husband really did call. Gigi believes that this is a miracle from god.

She recently filmed a gospel film “流浪漢世界盃” and had a great time filming this. However she expressed that she had never considered the earnings for this film and had promised to donate this to the association for charity purposes. Gigi feels that being happy, peaceful and healthy is enough to fulfil her need’s in life. But if she lacked these simple needs, there would be no meaning in life, no matter how many digits or 0’s she had in her bank account.

Currently she is helping her brother who was a dermatologist manage the Cosmetology business. When she first started she didn’t know much and often made mistakes. But she had learnt to be modest and even though she is a manager she will ask other’s to teach her things
