Miriam at Music Is Live Press Conference

Miriam, Jan Lamb, Fama and Eric Kwok are holding "08 Music Is Live 2nd show" at Asia Expo on 20th September. Other than Jan Lamb who was not in Hong Kong, the rest attended the press conference. Miriam and Eric, Luk Wing and C Kwan exchanged t-shirts.

Miriam expressed that in this show, they will do things that they have not done before. Hence she'll dance Waltz with Eric Kwok while the singing parts are left for Jan Lamb. Miriam said that there's lots of things she had not tried, like doing Fama's rap. She might play the drums and instruments that she hasn't learned. "It's really like a triathlon, like gymnastics. I hope to achieve Gold medal standard." Previously when she was guest for Fama's concert, the 2 made fun of her rumor. Miriam said she's also prepared they will talk about her this time, but she's fine if the atmosphere is good.

There's news saying because Miriam did not renew her contract with TVB previously, her popularity dropped. So she had to renew her contract recently to have TVB as a strong backing. Miriam said the 2 most important contracts in her life is the management contract and singer contract. After signing this 2 contracts, she'll leave other matters to her manager. She joked, "therefore I'm very willing to let people earn my 20% commission." Miriam said that doing good movies and singing good songs are her real market values. She's only worried she hasn't done good enough, and other things she won't care. Some said she hosted Mr Hong Kong because she renew her contract with TVB. Miriam replied she was being invited by He Liquan long ago to be the host. That time was when she returned after a charity visit with her, she was being asked if she was interested. That time she hasn't signed on TVB. When asked if she feels her popularity dropped when she didn't sign on TVB, she replied "popularity comes when there's appearance for work. There's no standard for popularity. Most importantly is to have quality in work and the audience like it. If I appear very often just for sake of popularity, I'm afraid people will lose appetite."
