Joey Yung Will Attend All Awards Ceremonies

Joey Yung (容祖兒) attended an event to promote high definition (HD) broadcasting today and seemed to show a tired complexion. She explained that she had got some of her make-up in her eyes when she was applying it and this left her looking a little weary.

In this age of HD, Joey joked that she needs to learn how to apply HD make-up and turn herself into a HD make-up artist. Asked if she will be wearing HD make-up when she appears on television, she turned the question back on the reporters, asking them if she needed to.

With the music awards ceremonies for the year approaching, RTHK have revealed that their most broadcasted singers are Joey and Eason Chan (陳奕迅). When she heard this, Joey was very pleased and her confidence was boosted. Although she will soon begin preparations for her concerts early in 2008, she said that she will still be appearing at all the awards ceremonies.

Asked if she is worried about not winning any awards if she does not attend, Joey denied this and said that everyone needs to show their support for the music industry and she does not attend ceremonies just to win awards.

Talking of her concert preparations, Joey said that she is planning to go to the gym in the morning and then dance rehearsals in the afternoon, so she will be spending around 12 hours a day working. As her concert run coincides with the run up to Chinese New Year, she was asked if she is worried about losing the chance to make money through other stage appearances. She laughed that maybe her fee is too high and she would not receive too many offers anyway.
