Joe Ma (馬德鐘) was joined by three Miss Hong Kong representatives Grace Wong (王君馨), Lorretta Chow (周美欣) and Lily Ho (何傲兒) at a goodwill event, where they joined a group of grannies to knit scarves to donate to the poor children in mainland China.
Although he does not actually know how to knit, Joe still found the experience very interesting and revealed that his wife knitted him a jumper ten years ago and it was very thoughtful. Asked if he will learn to knit and make something for his wife, he said that he might give it a try. He said that he can be quite a romantic and often cooks for his wife, leaving her extremely touched. Asked how he had managed to win over his wife's heart, he smiled that he still has a lot of ways to tempt a woman because he also knows how to play the violin. He revealed that he used to play when he was younger but stopped and has only recently started taking lessons again together with his son.
Lily revealed that she does know how to knit and once made scarves for her parents. She added that she has also received a handmade scarf from a boyfriend once.
Grace told of how one boy had tried to woo her by taking lessons from another girl in knitting, but he ended up dating the other girl instead after she gave him a few lessons.
