Default How many hours of rest does a human-being need per day?

i think we should rest minumum 8 hr, don't sure exactly, tell me what you think about it?

Yeah that should be around right.

Heard that sleeping before 11pm is good for the body, and after that it's bad...?

well i learned that you need 7-8 hours a day and it's good that u make ur sleep cycle consistent such as sleeping every night the same time and waking up the same time everyday helps. also helps weight loss and reduce stress level. Sleep deprivation is really bad for u and can cause u to gain weight b/c u tend to eat at night, and the energy store in ur body turns into fats
like they say u need ur beauty sleep so sleep early
i know that sleeping alot such as 10-12 hrs is the same thing as sleeping 3-4 b/c they make u tired

for me 6 hrs seems to be the best for me during the week. i sleep a little longer on weekends. i guess i am used to it by now.

8-9 hours is too many lol! I sleep only 3-4 hours at home, otherwise I will sleep in school!

apparantly, according to scientific research, someone who sleeps 6 hours a day will live longer than someone who sleeps 7 hours a day.. believe it if you want.. they say the recommended number of hours of sleep a day is 7-8.. but i normally get abour 5-6.. because of school work..

i heard that the organs in the body need to rest and they "rest" during different hours in your sleep, and the process begins around 10 or 11
