Adding an intake saves gas?

With gas over 4 bucks I am trying to save some mpg on my car. I know a intake adds more horse power but would it saves gas too?

Not really. I'll give a big HP but does not really save on gas. A properly maintained engine, correct tire pressure will mostly help save on gas mileage.

Dont think so, since addin a pod filter or after market filter, it could help increase horsepower, n it could also lose horse power if not careful. but i dont think it will save u gas.

More air = more fuel is injected.

If throw away the original plastic box n install a pod u could be suckin in hot air n decrease horse power.

Yeah, i don't think it will save gas. Just make sure your car is properly maintained: tune up, oil changes, etc.

an intake system DEFINETLY helps increase gas. The reason most people don't find an increase is they get the intake and like to the hear the loud sound of the intake so they're constantly dipping into the throttle more. Every single one of my cars/trucks i've done intakes on increased mileage. Think about it with more air going in without adding more fuel, you're going to get more gas mileage no doubt about it. How much obviously depends on car and driving style.
