Charmaine Sheh is one of Hong Kong most popular TV actresses, and has a large fan base in China, rest of Asia as well as US region.
Charmaine Sheh started her entertainment career after becoming the 2nd runner-up in Miss Hong Kong 1997 pageant contest. She was offered a contract to join TVB, Hong Kong largest TV network and the organizer of the pageant event.
Charmaine Sheh made her first TV series appearance in Detective Investigation Files IV (1998), followed by her first leading role in The Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain (1999).
Charmaine Sheh received lots of critics at her early stage of acting career, but she managed to win some acclaims in 2000 with “Return of The Cuckoo,” co-starring Julian Cheung.
Charmaine Sheh continues to improve and star in numerous TVB dramas since then, including an outstanding performance in the highly rated War and Beauty in 2004; and in Maidens’ Vow which won her the Best Actress Award in the 39th Annual TVB Anniversary, 2006.
Charmaine Sheh also acted in some movies, and achieved decent success.
Charmaine Sheh was often linked with fellow actor Benny Chan as a couple, but is rumoured to have ended their relationship recently.
