yes i have heard that you can see people as well as houses with google earth....?

however, in the version i have i can only see vague satellite images, and no houses. Is there a different version where u can actually see the houses and people?

Actually, it all depends on where you are looking at. You can really zoom in for some places, and can't see much in other places. Try looking at New York for example, and you'll be able to see the streets as though you are standing there!
