How can I erase websites from my PC and from the list of Google searches?

I'm not very PC literate so a simple guide would be great. As I've bought my PC second hand I want to ensure my kids don't stumble on inappropriate sites.

Right click Internet Explorer. Go to Properties. Click delete under Browsing History(WinXP). Also you could do a disk clean and Defrag in Control Panel.

start
internet opitions
internet connections ( maybe )
then you will have a screen come up with cookies, temp inmternet files,
delete it all,
then set the computer to clear every night of the searches at 12 pm.

Do this when ever you are looking at naughty site so your kids can see.

Here is my top google clear search tip for you...click in to your google search...click the last search.....use the back arrow so the cursor is at the beginning of the word..then hold down the down arrow and at the same time press Del key till all history is gone.and and will work this way in all searches
