Subnotebooks

I just wondering if anyone tried one of the subnotebooks, like the Asus EEE. If so, I would like to know some use experience, because I thinking of buying one.

I know it's light-weighted and ultramobile. But what about the preformance and especially how does typing on the keyboard feels like.

if you can, you should really see if you can see one in the store. for me it isnt worth it since the hard drive space you get is extremely small. the performance isnt really good. the eee is basically for basic web surfing and typing up a couple of essays from time to time. Depending on the size of your hand the keyboard might be a bit to cramp for you to type on since the key is smaller than average.

Thank you for you reply. I noticed on the internet there are some subnotebooks which are a few bigger than te EEE.

Overall performance is good but dont try to plug in a monitor/projector to it because it will slow down. Somemore, the small resolution will need you to scroll up and down the windows xp screen/desktop..

its really up to what you want to use it for. If you want to travel round and do low intensive work or watching movies then go for it. But if you are looking at a gaming machine, go for something different. I'm probably going to get one because i send most of my time reading and catching public transport, so i'll end up getting one just to past time by. But i'm still deciding on either a high performance desktop or a "sub notebook"
