WebCam For Video Conversation

my relative has a webcam but whenever we start video conversation, webcam shows his movie too slow, so i need help, whats a problem with it? is there any connection problem or internal webcam problem?

i'm assuming ur using an IM client for the video conversation. There r many reasons for the lag, which can be ur IM client's setting, ur webcam quality setting is too high, ur internet is slow, ur relative's internet is slow, if the video goes through the IM client's server, it could be the server that's slow. any one or a combination of more than one of them r possible reasons
