ATI vs nVidia?
guys i m sure u guys tried usi nthis two gpu's i nthe pass but i wanna kno which brand u think is ur favour. For me i like Ati n i dont like nvidia even tho nividia still hold the best gpu title now after the x2900xt release but i havnt check out the beanch mark on the most powerfull gpu from the 2 companys n i could be wrong .

i'd say nvidia based on the stats...i'm not a fanboy of either of these products, but based on the technology, nvidia's definitely superior to ati (now amd) rite now. if i remember correctly,t he new ati cards not only can't outperform the nvidia cards that released a couple months ago, but they're louder, draws more power, and have heating issue.

yeah, but since ati is with amd now together, i m sure this two compnay will tyr find sum way to boost their link between cpu n gpu performence. a few yrs ago ati drivers r crap now now its improvin n increase their performence.

yes...i'm aware of the merger, and yes, amd did announce of a roadmap that puts cpu and gpu on one die (courtesy to kyo, he showed me the website). but god knows when it will come out....

but then nvidia is also more expensive than ati

radeon Hd 2900 XT is an excellent graphics card-its way better than the GeForce 8800 GTs
however the Geforce 8800 GTX and ultra is slightly faster

actually its depending on individuals, some prefer go for ATI even nvidia offers better features over ATI, its juz like hardcore MAC fan and PC. maybe in some says ATI gc are not realli mend for gaming, because their core GPU is not build for gaming, doesnt noe how true izzit but still depends on individual preference.
