Can anyone tell the difference between a "Website" and "Blog" as I feel there is no difference between these both but then why different names. Thanks.

A website is for more general things, and can be maintained by different people for different purposes.

A blog however is a bit like an online diary - it is run by one person and that person will post updates on what is happening in their life.

Reading a website gives you information, and reading a blog tells you a story.
