well, you did do all of the correct things. Cookies and viruses slow your comp down, run another scan just in case. defrag and all that happy bs. If its still running at 3mgs, then call them back and complain til they fix it by online or send someone to fix it. We argued and said that we were paying more that we were getting, and thye sent a guy over and fixed it for us for free since it was their fault after all. Threaten to cancel and tell every one what crappy customer care is there. They'll fix it if they value their company.
