if you want to set up an internet business and make it available for all countries, yet you are living in the middle east and are from the UK, do you pay tax on it? i'm confused!

Luckily I don't pay tax on my business hehe nor a VAT registered It all depends how much you are earning, if you are earning more than £10k then yes you need to pay tax. You gotta see if they are going to catch you first.

I don't know.
I think you still have to report it on your taxes regardless.
That counts as a source of income.
And if you do make it big, you don't want the I.R.S. (US) or what ever they have in their individual respective countries sniffing up on you. A big new mansion and certain other things are just worth it for trial at court for back tax. It could get you in jail. Look at Wesley Snipes for example.

PS. planning to be a corporate lawyer so know a bit about it, if you wish to know in detail. Email your national tax agency about it or consult a lawyer.
