Chapter 1

Inuyasha POV:
There are two things I have to take care of, one; kill Naraku, and two; choose between Kikyo and Kagome. Kikyo and i had one hell of a past, we were engaged until Naraku split us apart. Now, she hates me... or does she? Kagome, she's always by my side, and i will always protect her, that is a commitment... although she and i always get into these damn fights all the time, and i don't even see whats wrong!!
"Inuyasha?"
"What is it?!! I'm trying to think!!!"

Kagome's POV:
The nerve of that guy! "Well, excuse me that we're walking around in the middle of nowhere with no village for us to stay!" He's out of his head ever since the last encounter with Naraku, but then again, I'm not really surprised that he hasn't noticed. "I know where we're going!" Inuyasha growled. "Then where exactly are we heading Inuyasha?" Miroku smugly asked.

Inuyasha's POV:
"Umm... uhhh... Naraku's hideout of course," I lied. "Inuyasha... It's late at night," Sango sharply stated. They got me, but i have to make a cover up. "Fine! Have it your way! If you guys are starving and tired, go to some random village!" There, that's better.

Kagome's POV:
(Sigh) There he goes again, pulling the tough guy routine. Other then that, i'm starving! I wish there was a village around so Miroku can do his thing... and possibly get Sango angry by flirting...

Shippo's POV:
"Guys! I'm tired and hungry! Can we just campout here and live off Kagome's food (instant noodles)??? Please! Jus for today!!" "I dunno, ask those SMARTIES over there!" Inuyasha said. (Sigh) He never changes. "Shippo's right, if we keep moving, dawn will break by then," Miroku said.

Inuyasha's POV:
At least we have somewhere to sleep. "Whatever, like I care."

Sango's POV:
Ignoring it I said, "luckily Kagome packed helpful campout things!" "Indeed," Miroku agreed staring at me. He kept staring until I felt myself blush.

***************When they finished setting the camp

Miroku stares at me more often now, I wonder what he's up to...

Kagome's POV:
Finally! Some food!! I smiled as I chowed down, but my smile faded away when I saw Inuyasha gone. "Hey, where's Inuyasha?" "He's probably off on his own, thinking," Miroku answered. What certain something makes Inuyasha... THINK, he's been more quiet then usual these past few days, I wonder what's on his mind...

**************** Deep in the forest

Inuyasha's POV:
"Kikyo!!" I yelled as I chased Kikyo. She was floating with her soul collectors.

Kikyo's POV:
"Stop following me!" I yelled. I sounded angry, yet calm towards Inuyasha. I wanted to give up on him, I'm from the dead, but it's just not meant to be. I gasped.

Inuyasha's POV:
I jumped from the trees and grabbed one of Kikyo's wrists, carring me into the night sky. "Let go of me!" Kikyo demanded. "I won't Kikyo... I won't," I softly said. Suddenly, her soul collectors dissolved and she fell along with me still clinging on. I won't let go! I won't let go!

************* At the campsite

Kagome's POV:
My head was spinning, I'm currently thinking about alot of things, like what is Inuyasha thinking about? He doesn't stay that quiet, why is Miroku staring at Sango alot? Is there something on her face? Who is Inuyasha gonna choose? Me her Kikyo? Although it's obvious he'll go for Kikyo, after the past they've been through, i can't compete, and lastly... I'M STUCK WITH HOMEWORK, SCHOOL AND ASSINMENTS!!!

Miroku's POV:
There's something about Sango nobody notices but me. I can't look away, I kept staring at her beautiful face.

Sango's POV:
Ok that's it! "Miroku?" "Yes, Sango?" "Why do you keep staring at me?!" "It's nothing..." Lies. "Are you thinking about something perverted?!" I predicted.

Miroku's POV:
"No..." I answered. "Then what is it?!" I can tell she's eager to know. (Sigh) "Follow me," I said. She calmed down and followed. "Is there something bothering you?" Sango asked. "No, not at all, it's just that... your the perfect woman for me..."

Sango's POV:
I blushed hard. "S-so, that's what you were thinking about all this time?" "No," Miroku answered. "Spill then," I said. "... Well since we're engaged... I'm not sure if I could commit to you yet," Miroku said. He was quivering, that means he's telling the truth. He continued, "Your too good for me, you still have a chance with that wealthy, young man who has fallin for you." "No!" I exclaimed, "the only one for me is you, only you!"

Miroku's POV:
"... Thank you... Sango," I whispered. We both leaned towards each other and kissed.

Sango's POV:
Wow, he's a good kisser, maybe he's not so--- Aargh!! (SLAP!!)

Miroku's POV:
Owww! All I did was touch her bottom! Nothing wrong. "I was just getting into the mood," I explained. "LECHUROUS MOOOONK!!"

*********** Deep into the forest

Kikyo's POV:
"Why do you never give up?!" I shouted as i was freefalling. "Cuz i refuse to let you die!" "I'm already dead!" I shouted while i closed my eyes. Then, i felt a sudden stop, did I fall to the ground? No, I don't feel any pain. "Kikyo... are you alright?" I opened my eyes and saw him holding me and staring deeply into my eyes. "Yes."

Inuyasha's POV:
I landed safely ona big tree branch, with Kikyo in my grasp. "Tell me, why do you keep running?" I've wanted to ask that question for a long time now.

Kikyo's POV:
I couldn't lie to him, I'm in love with him too. "It's just... not meant to be..." I whispered. "Buy why?!" Inuyasha asked while bringing me down the tree branch. But he still held me.

Inuyasha's POV:
I know what she's gonna do, run away without an answer if i put her down. Kikyo tried resisting a little, so I can out her down. "No, i won't let you go," I said. So she stayed where she was. Kikyo is differnt from before... she didn't resist.

Kikyo's POV:
"I am one of the dead, I don't belong int his world... I... don't belong with you," I said. "Don't say such things Kikyo!" I love you! I doesn't matter if you're differnt from before!" Inuyasha exclaimed. "Inuyasha... There is more to it..."

Inuyasha's POV:
