AP Eng/Lit 12 anyone?

yeah just wondering if anyone else is taking AP eng/lit.

It would be a great place here to talk and ask questions about the course books and stuff. Feel free to place any suggestions and stuff

It's a very hard course and ppl would need as much help from didffernt ppl as possible. So write on!

Suggestions of Books:

-Hamlet
-1984
-Brave New World
-Great Gatsby
-Ethan Frome
-Oedipus
-Everyman
-Inferno

These are my favortie books, so take a look at them when u have time

i read the hamlet and it was a really good book. for when i took the class last yr in junior yr i also read

waiting for godot
woman in the dunes (don't really recommend it..i didn't like it)
the plague(it was okay)
death of a salesman(okay too)
glass menagerie (pretty good)
rosencrantz and guildenstern(it was good, but it makes more sense if you read the hamlet first)
..and some other books i forgot.

i don't know some of these books were pretty interesting though. and they were the books that i read last yr in ap english

and other books that were read in ap lit in the year before were...
pride and prejudice
oedipus
the tempest
..some that i forgot i'll update the list when i find that reading list from two years ago. lol. and some books by nathaniel hawthorne too.

but they helped me

i passed them both with 4's! i thought it was awesome.

hmmm i took AP lit... like 2 yrs ago...hahaha it was alright... a lot of reading and writing.. i guess that was expected... n i pretty much read the same books u guys did...hehe =)

for those who took it?...any advice on essay-skill?

edit: my teacher actually told us to "copy" other good writers' style, have sophisticated writing, and metaphors..
any one know how to work on ur metaphors?

I took both.
I remember reading quite a few books.
The Scarlet Letter
Macbeth
King Lear
The Great Gatsby
Jane Eyre
Huckleberry Finn
Pride and Prejudice
A Farewell to Arms

...there was quite a few more but I can't seem to recall it.
