Dating/meeting someone over the internet?
I'm stealing this topic from another forum that I go to (not Asian entertainment related)
Have you ever dated someone you've met over the internet? Or... maybe even only just meet up with them?
Personally I never have yet, but anyone out there who HAS? |

dating > definitely not.
meeting > twice? (friends of friends and perhaps of friends? i just accompany my friends to meet, i never personally arranged a meeting)
no matter what, i totally don't recommend it.. just go and meet ppl from school and actually physically meet them~ don't meet ppl online and go meet them in person.. totally unsafe/dangerous no matter how sweet or such and such it is  |

I havent . My friend has which i thought was dumb because she was all gaagaa over a guy she never met and is probably someone pretending to be the person.

I would definitely not meet a stranger i barely know of, and dnt even think about dating.
There was this case few years ago that a teenager was lured from Melb. to Syd. by this 30 something year old guy who she thought was 19.
Dunno how it ended, but that's pretty frightening.  |

haha...you guys! bunch of wussies! yeah, ive met with people from the net. of course, thats after so many years of chatting or what not. so its quite harmless. well, play safe and be aware of the dangers. never dated though.

uhh.. well I've met people on the net. But they not really random... cos I went to Chinese School with them but didn't really talk, untill MySpace. Somehow she found me and then we started chatted and met up. And some of the other people who I met are friend's friend.
