After "A Battle of Wits", "The Night Banquet" released in Asia, Hua Yi Film production mentiond about their next block-buster movie in 2007.
In last year when all casts and staff went to The Cannes Festival promote the movie "The Night Banquet", film company introduced about the their next film schedule in there.
Their 2007 new plan is kung-fu movie "Whistling Arrow", And action star and director Sammo Hong will direct whole movie. Accoring to the news, The director to begin shooting beginning of this year in the northeast, the time period will be the end of the Qing Dynasty.
Casting wise, 2 male lead already determinded. Aaron Kwok and Jason Wu will be main lead in this movie, and they should be act first-class martial skills. About 2 leading ladies, Ruby Lin and Charlie Yeung might be casted.
Since 2006, Ruby lin didn't active as actress. She choose vacation rather than keep filming TV series, so in last year she only did 1 TV series. End of 2006, she join new management company and announcement she will start new career in 2007. This movie "Whistling Arrow" might be 1st work to ruby in new company.

Finally Ruby's doing movies! Havn't seen her in any new series or anything in the longest time. Are those the pics for the movie? Aaron looks kind of like a stripper in that pic...........

actually, she does have new series, DaLi Princess and Ancestral Temple, they're even have finished filming already, it's just not aired yet...
and yes, its a good news to hear her participate in a movie... she is rarely doing movie...

YAY!!! I like Ruby, she's a good actress. I'm happy to see more of her shows that aren't in Mando. This is a good opportunity for her to learn Canto.
