For the Lunar New Year holiday, Shirley Yeung Si Kei went to the goldfish market, hoping that the goldfish would bring good luck. When Shirley saw the pool of red swimming goldfish, she took a fishnet and scooped up a cup full of fish. Later Shirley headed over to the koi pool, where the koi fish were over 12 inches long! Shirley wished that everyone will have a fortuitous year!

Reflecting on her achievements for 2006, Shirley was quite satisfied. Earlier in the year, she won the "Best Acting Merit Award" at the 42nd Chicago International TV Festival for "More Comfortable Women 3" 《女人多自在3》.

Shirley also won the Best Supporting Actress Award at TVB's 39th Anniversary for "Always Ready." In "Brink of Law," she played an evil character for the first time, which earned her positive feedback. She also starred in her first movie 《雀聖3自摸三百番》with Roger Kwok Chun On and bought a house. 2006 was indeed a year of major accomplishments for Shirley!

"Awards are good encouragement, especially the Merit Award at Chicago's International TV Festival. It has been 5 years since an Asian artist received this award!"

"I was also quite happy in playing an evil character in 'The Brink of Law.' I will continue to try my best in the year of the pig, diversifying my roles. I am unafraid of taking 'unattractive' roles, as long as they can challenge my acting."

"Currently, I am taking music lessons with an instructor. I enjoy singing and hope to pursue additional opportunities in the music industry in 2007!"

As for Shirley's romance with Gregory Lee Wing Ho, Shirley did not want to talk about it too much, otherwise people will think she was unfocused on work. "I want to focus on my career and earn more money to pay the mortgage for my home!"
