I have a question on the Spongebob Squarepants: Revenge of the flying dutchman PS2 game...?

yeah i'm on the part that spongbob has to find the treasure and i CANNOT find it. i looked up the cheats for it but it says the when you come out ofthe back of spongebob's house you go to the right. well i went to the right many, many times and still no treasure. and how do i know where it is when i press square???
help me!!!!!!!!!!!!
