Does a game bought from amazon.co.uk, which is a united kingdom site work on an american Playstation 2?

i live in america and obviously have an american playstation 2. i want to buy a copy of formula one 2006. i found a copy which i would like buy on amazon.co.uk which is a united kingdom site. but the game is made by sony entertainment of uk. i dont know if that has anything to do with it, but i like an answer. thank you.

It would not work on your PS2 if it's PAL instead of NTSC. Does it say if it's PAL or NTSC?
