PSP slim and lite?

I'm buying my son a PSP slim & lite for Christmas but would like to know if I have to buy anything else apart from the console and a few games?

Do you need to buy any memory cards/sticks for it?

I do not want him opening it Christmas morning to find he hasn't got everything he needs.

if he is just going to play games on it he should be fine for Xmas. you can buy memory cards but can at a later date he should be well fine over tha xmas and new year

Headphones? It's not a console I'd recommend personally, I ended up selling mine because sony does NOT understand fun. The idea of good graphics equating good gaming is something only rivalled in idiocy with Microsoft. Buut to each his/her own, if your son has a playstation or xbox and likes the games then it'd be alright. You'll want a memory card, 2gb is typically £50 I think, a case and screen protector (important!) and maybe a movie? They're amazing on it =)

Ditto for the above, definitly a memory stick of about 1 gig. he can get a bigger one at a later date or more sticks. But maybe some earphones, would be a good idea. Many games have music and sound effects. nothing worse than to have that in the background while trying to listen to the Queens speech. A charger is already included in the package when you buy the console.

you might want to get a bigger memory stick so he can put music and videos on it, this makes the PSP worth its value
