what game system is better a ps3 or a ps2?

me and my cousin wants to know because she wants a ps2 and i want a ps3 but she thinks a ps2 is better then a ps3

of course ps3 better but it would cost alot as u need a nice LCD tv to play it and the game only come in "original"....

I think PS 3 is better and it can play DVD on it too.. It has blu ray function which makes the graphics even better.. I think it is worth it to get..

PS3 has backward compatibility and it will be better in the future so go with PS3.

it would depend on your budget-if you only have $100 to spend on a gaming system, the PS2 offers great value for your dollar.
The PS3 costs about $400, but it is much more future proof and there are more on-demand titles made for the PS3 than the PS2.

Depends how you look at it:

PS3 has great graphics when played on a HD screen as well as being ideal for HD movies but lacks games at the moment

PS2 is cheaper and has a large library of games, many will be cheap but lack the graphics power in comparison to the PS3.

got lots of cash - ps3
wanna play games with superb graphics - ps3
just wanna play lots of fun games - ps2

can't honestly say I touch my ps2 anymore after getting my 360 or ps3 for that matter, visually its just not as appealing to play but I guess it would come down to the type of games you're interested in.

Iwould have to say ps2 because it has a large library of games way more than ps3 while the next gens systems don't offer much as true gaming was like from last gen.

Definitely PS3, as hardware wise miles more powerful that PS2, but you need a HD TV to make full use out of it.

PS3 will work with normal TV but graphics doesnt look that nice.
