No. The PS2 was made to play PS1 games.

no I play ps1 games on my ps2 all the time. But the ps2 games will not work on a ps1

umm yeah you're a little late for that, and no it doesn't cuz the ps2 is completly backwards compatible. and get a ps3 duhhhh

No PS1 games work just fine,I have a few for my PS2 and I play em all the time with no problems.

It doesnt , infact most ps1 games look better on ps2

I don't see why it would considering it was made by Sony and some PS2 games are CD instead of DVD as well.
