i have a ps3 with a 42" lcd tv. i just put in a ps2 game, it doesn't stretch the picture across the screen....

how do i change it to view on the whole screen??? i haven't played any ps3 games yet because they are for my kids xmas. i was just making sure that my hdmi hook up was good and decided to play my old games real quick before i put it away again for xmas. please help because playing the game like that with the smushed up picture sucks... thanks a lot

you need to update the ps3 via the internet to get the upscaling of ps2 games. once you do that, you need to put the settings for ps2 games to full screen and turn on the smoothing.

It's underscan issue. This has to do to with your tv and the way ps3 decodes the ps2 game. I'm rather disspointed that ps3 still havent fix this issue.
