Acer
If you want a laptop don't get a laptop from Acer, they use the cheap hardware for their notebooks. Mine went dead after couple months, repaired, then dead again. Even the repair center takes 2-3 weeks to repair my laptop.

It's true, heard that the hardware they use are made from China *wink wink nudge nudge*, and the battery life is low...
The screen tends to lose it's brightness real fast as well.

I believe Acer is a chinese based company. Their products are cheaper than a lot of competitors, hence cheap parts used. You get what u pay for.

Well most (or all) of their parts are from China I think...which explain a lot about the quality.

yeah.. i hate acer.. i know it sucks since long time ago.. but my mom wants me to buy it from the guys who helped us to repair coms all the time.. n he only has acer.. so i got no choice...@@

Acer laptop...my friends told me that their rig got some problem as well...1 had the problem with the power...another had a problem with the keyboard...but i am using acer desktop though...pretty good...if i have a choice for a laptop..i will go for toshiba...

I haven't tried the desktop before, but yesterday I saw that nice desktop one..small like a hi-fi system  Too bad Acer is out of my computer brand list now, so now I prefer custom desktops instead.
Toshiba is not bad, my last one lasted for over 4 years without any hardware failures. Good to try them out. |

I've heard it's bad, so i stayed away from it as well. >.<'' Heard their laptops aren't dat great.
But, an Acer LCD monitor, lasted for a pretty long time for my cousin.
Any ideas about asus?

i have been looking at acers, they're so cheap at best buy, i never heard of them before last week, im gonna stay away from them now.
