Is there corporal punishment in your school?

When I was back in Primary school. I was used to being smacked once in awhile for not doing my homework and stuff. I still remember the name of the teacher. By da way, corporal punishment was banned and the teachers are still practicing it. I am not sure if they still do it nowadays. But for high school, they dont.

I think I learnt my lesson from all da punishments. Guess it really helped.

Um....yea dude, corporal punishment was banned a long time ago and i think if they were doing that to you you should've told the police or something!

Nah! I am in Uni now. I know it was prohibited but I think I deserved it. It actually helped me to become a better student. I really respect that teacher and the way he teaches. The thing is that school children are sooo disrespectful to their teachers because they know that the teacher cant lay a hand on them. Thats also sad with the drugs comment on the other thread.

when i was in taiwan's elementary school, i was a good kid, until one day the frigging teacher decided to beat all the students in the class when only one student messed up. it's pretty f*ed up coz as kids, most of us will only blame the person causing the trouble, but not question authoritative figures like the teacher.

so after that day i was pissed, and i started rebelling and ended up getting more beatings. not a good cycle.

I dont rebel against teachers, just try to be funny in class and stuff. Miss the old times. lol. I dont like the Chinese teachers also in our school coz I dont like the subject and the way they teach.

i would say cell phone or any electric stuff. they will take it aways but other than that nopes.

The most we get from pissing the teacher too much are detentions (picking up rubbish) or the dreaded Saturday detention for 2 hours.
