Help on ACT!

Hi, I'm a senior in High School and I've taken the ACT twice- once w/o studying, and the second time after reading the Princeton Review book, but not doing any practice tests. Who here has taken the ACT and gotten a 30 or above? I'm really trying to shoot for a 30, but i'm not sure if I physically can. Are there any suggestions? My last score was 24 composite, 24 Math, 24 English, 25 Science, 25 writing, 23 Reading. Do the practice tests in the review books really help? Is there any suggestions on how I can improve my score? I'm really desperate here because this is seriously my LAST CHANCE at getting a better score. I would even be happy with a 27 or 28!

i took ACT once, coz i didn't do too well on SAT, but this is a long time ago though.

i got 33 on math, science 29, and the rest is around mid 20's. i didn't have much time to prepare for ACT, so i just did practice tests.

also when i wrote ACT, i remember speed was an important factor, alot of sections i couldn't finish except math. so it's important to be familiar with the test, and pace urself.
