School Grades

I'm not sure if we're the only state that does that, but we have this really dodgy grading system. It's like this:

eg. out out of a class of 10, 6 get A, 2 get B and 2 get D. Now because of so many people getting high results (6 ppl getting an A), they might get a A+, the 2 getting a B+. But since they got so high marks, the 2 that gets D, might get degraded, possibly to a F =S

And it works vice versa (if the majority gets low marks, u get boosted up)

So, is is only us?

Over here, I think it's the exam boards that decide on this. They study exam statistics every yr to make a decision on how they could alter the system. When you get more people scoring high, its more likely they'd want to make things more challenging for everyone...besides, an A* star looks cool, right?

It was individual marks last year for us, you get a B, you get a B, you fail , you fail, stupid rule they made on marking this year.

And we don't get A stars here, highest you can get is A+

yeah they change the grading system in the UK too.. so like if they feel students are doin well they put the grades higher.. so like if its 60% for a C first year.. second year they will make it 65% to get a C.. get it??

Sort of, sounds too harsh to me.

They should make it individual, what u get is final.
