[JAP] Nodame Cantabile

Recently dumped by his girlfriend for a "ham" looking fellow, passed over for a chance to go overseas, removed from his star spot in the piano competition because he walked out on his piano instructor, Chiaki is at his limit. This is when he meets Nodame, or Megumi Noda. Nodame is a free — and filthy — spirit who reminds Chiaki that music can be fun. She reminds him what drew him to be a conductor in the first place and, in learning how to deal with Nodame, Chiaki learns how to deal with others. Chiaki begins to realize what is possible for him, even within the country of Japan.

For Nodame, Chiaki is everything she isn't. Clean, neat, dedicated, studious and inherently arrogant about his accomplishments and capabilities, Chiaki constantly bullies her into being more serious about life. He sees potential in her and her abilities as a pianist that she doesn't care about. She loves Chiaki and wants to be with him, but because she's not serious about her piano studies nor her personal hygiene, Chiaki always denies her affections.

Drawn together in a turbulent relationship, Chiaki's perfectionism and Nodame's untamed nature ends up completing each other. As the story progresses, they mature up as individuals, as musicians and as a couple.

I am currently hooked on this Japanese series. I absolutely loved the manga and the drama adaptation was to die for! Nodame's character is sooo funny and Chiaki is the <3 I think all the actors did really good and the music is absolutely stunning!

this is such a funny series but im not done watching it. and i love teh piano playing in it <3

Ive watched it and it is a fun drama. Expect some over-the-top scenes (those gag scenes) that really have you rolling on the floor laughing.

They are currently screening the anime version.

Very good series. =D It was lots of fun and laughter in the beginning episodes. All of this series was good. Had alot of lessons to life.

this is a really good show, pretty funny too. loved the piano pieces as well. id recommend this to anyone.

i really like the piano playing in this drama. chiaki's hair was sooo sexy and he was pretty hot himself. nodame is really adorable, but i didn't like her hunched back all the time. it looks like she was really tall, but can't stand up straight. thinking about her nasty and messy life style, it makes me want to crack up. i wish that there were more sweet scenes between nodame and chiaki senpai tho. all they had was ONE hug and that's the end of the drama. *shrugs*

the anime version of nodame is super addictive. one of my top series. love those classicals.

I think this series is quite good. I havent really started on it yet, but i've watched the anime version one! is super funny, esp. the timpanist!

i thought this drama was really cute~
it was really exaggerated, but in a good way... because some series exaggerate really badly .. X
