summary :
Nicholas Tse and Angelica Lee are the leads. Nic plays Yang Fan, a handsome and heroic character (they changed this part as the original character is supposed to be very plain and unattractive-looking) and Angelica plays the female lead, Tian Si Si who comes frm a wealthy family. Yan Kuan is the second male lead, the suave and dashing Qin Ge. He, Yang Fan and Tian Si Si will get invovled in a love triangle. Tian Si Si likes Qin Ge at first but later likes Yang Fan, in the original story, Si Si ends up with Yang Fan. Liu Tao plays second female lead. Her character is Chu Chu, a highly skilled fighter. She later disguises as a man and accompanies Yang Fan on his travels, her character falls for Yang Fan, only to discover later on that she's his long long sister.
