From what I heard and saw, it is very far from the novel. I watch parts of it and it was not as interesting as I thought it would to keep me watching. The fight scenes were horrible and the costumes look shabby. Although there were many good-looking people in here, like Cui Peng, Kingone, Feifei, Chu Ja-Hyun, Wang Bowen, and many others. The acting is tolerable in this series too. Except for the annoying Song Tian'er and Hu Tie Hua.

Hu Jing was okay in this series. Her dubbed voice was quite irritating though. *Spoilers: She got her man at the end.* It's a happy ending for her.
