Black Friday shopping, anyone?
Anyone crazy enough to brave the crowds on Black Friday? If so, what did you get?
Driving home, we passed by the outlet mall at 2:30 am and saw the parking lot and the overflow parking lot packed. That's ridiculous! Then we went to Circuit City at 5 am and there was a huge line that wrapped around the block to get inside! We waited in the slow moving line for about 10 mins in the freezing cold, before we decided to go to Staples. There was a small line, only because it was mins from opening. Ended up paying 50 bucks more for a slightly better laptop than from Circuit City, but I think it was worth not catching a cold. Also, walked out with a walkie talkie for when we go snowboarding. Went home and sleep for a few hours and headed back out shopping, the mall was crazy! God, I love Black Friday shopping!

going to the store at 5 is way too late. i've been going to black friday for a couple of years now. i usually go at around 12 and line up. Even though i have to stand in the freezing cold i think it was pretty worth it. I went to best buy and bought the orange box for 24.99 a micro sd card, and a flash drive. didnt want those laptops since i think they suck >>

Well I was one of the brave (or stupid) ones who waited in the cold outside Circuit City at 4am (the doors opened at 5am). Even then, my friend and I were around the 200th person in line. We actually had to wait for the first batch of people to leave before we could get in. Needless to say, we were frozen solid! That actually wasn't the worst part. I was buying a HP desktop and the line to buy computers within the store was crazy. It took us two hours of waiting in line before I was able to cashed out. All in all, we spent four hours at Circuit City. But I did pick up everything I wanted. Then we head on over to Best Buy where there were no line ups at 8:30am where I picked up some additional items. Was it worth it in retrospect? Probably not ... but it was certainly an experience!

I don't think I would ever wait in line XD It's so wow, so if there was any savings, I would probably get it online even though it'll be a bit more expensive due to the shipping and handling XD

I went the last 2 years. Stayed up all night and went out at like 2-3. Waited in line for hours in the cold cold weather. This year I didn't really buy much. I lost my mood after waiting for so long. lol
