i want to get a myspace. my mom will not let me have one. she said i am to young. all of my friends have one. i am 14. do you think i am to young?

no, i am 14 and have one. that is the age restriction on the site. you have to be 14 or older. it is kinda dangerous though so keep it on private. also, if you want one make it at your friends house, because they know how to make them and she isn't around...so have like a sleepover there and you sould create one within a few hours!! have fun!!

no. I love myspace! Both of my sisters have it-and the youngest was only 13 when she got it!

Yes and no. You can meet people on there and they're great, but I'm 24 and you can meet people who leave you feeling well.........not great. So she could be right. It's not all it's cut out to be. I can tell you from experience I met two people on YA, and I IM with them all the time. YA is far better. But that's just my opinion

Nope youre not too young. I had a myspace at that age. If you sign up (i think you'll have to pretend to be 16) and then change your brith date to your real one once you've joined, your profile will be in-accessable to people over 18. Also you can set your profile to private no matter what age you are - that means people can only view it if you have accepted them as a friend.
Thats a lot safer if your mom's scared about paedophilles etc..

as long as you dont talk to all the pedo's and give out where you live and personal details, i'd think it should be ok, but maybe you should listen to your mum. i think fighting over a website isn't really worth it, to be honest. try talking to her about it perhaps?
