I haven't tried it yet. What I have heard is that unless you're a really high tech person or really what state-of-the-art kinds of things, you should wait. The system is still not completely stable and though it does have some amazing, new features - it's nothing revolutionary.

Sorry dude, I am having this move to technology. You sort of posted on the wrong section. Anyways if you want to look for Vista information.. Go to www.vistarewired.com for information. The site is pretty helpful and my friend owns it. So yeah.

Windows Vista is not that good.. Too much security for me because everytime you launch an application it always asks you "Are you sure?" and all that stuff

From what i've heard so far, there are quite a lot of bugs.
My friend upgraded his to Vista Basic a few weeks ago and says that his Bluetooth and many other functions dnt work.

hrm... i don't kno if this is a good thing.. but i haven't used vista
 simply because i don't use operating systems when it first comes out because there's a lot of bugs, backdoors, and disadvantages in general... then when a service pack or update comes out.. i start using it  DD btw i also heard a lot of bad things about vista.. and the memory hungry consumption... so let me kno more about it... whether they're disadvantages or advantages..

My first impression is that it's a bit buggy and not that userfriendly, the WOW hasn't started for me yet.
I'm still busy getting everything to work with vista on my desktop. Progress so far: - Nothing special compared to winXP, pc seems a bit less responsive (and yes, my pc specs are superior than what is recommended for vista) - My bluetooth MS wireless entertainment desktop (which should be vista compatibe) is still no working  - Can't get Aero to work without freezing or hik-ups. - My iPod and iTunes do not work!  I haven't tried the compatibility with other programs since a good basic installation of vista is far from complete, I need much more time to tweak it then expected.
