Switch to Mac OS?

for anyone who uses a Mac, i was wonder how long it took for you to switch from windows to Mac OS. I am interested in getting a macbook, but i am hesitant cause of the OS. all i would be doing on it is word processing and browsing websites. would you suggest Mac or a PC?

The Macintosh is a great choice! Even better for school usage.
It's very easy to get used to and applications open up much faster than Windows.
Plus, now Macs can also parallel itself with Windows so if you want to use Windows you can!

Well if ur used to using a PC, i would recommend getting a PC since u know all of the functions.
You can load a MAC with Windows OS and choose between which OS to boot during startup.

i would encourage you not to use mac, reason is, when you want to download softwares, you will have limited choices. I hate my mac laptop now anyways.
But the good thing is that it is quite neat.

Im a bit interested because im at a design academy. At home i work with pc's but at school we have mac's to work on. To be honoust working on a mac with Photoshop, Illustrator and programs like that is more comfortable.

What I recommend is to use Windows since your only surfing and working with Word. Mostly used so if you have questions more people have the answer

Mac has its own good as there are hardly any viruses but limited when it comes to applications. Well it depends what are your daily needs. If you do alot of graphic works, then Mac is the BEST, otherwise stay with PC.
I love to use MAC to organise my pictures and do slideshows.
