Do different torrent softwares give different download speeds?

Till now i know about Bit Torrent, Ares and Limewire Beta. These are torrent supported softwares.
Are there any other softwares also, and does choosing a software gives us download speed options or does the speed completely depend on the link of our internet connection.

As long as I can dl, I don't care what I use.

I'm using uTorrent, interface is much much cleaner than BitComets...

definitely a YEs. I use to use Bitcomet a yr ago and it was ok. Then, it became slower and slower each day. I thought it was my speed. then, i switched to utorrent. It's alot faster on utorrent with the same BT files.

yes different bt softwares do give off different speed as some bypass the firewall like bitcomet. but setting up port forwarding can speed up the software like in utorrent.

yup, and that option call speed packeting or something like it work wonder sometime.

i use bitcomet b/c the settings are easy to configure, utorrent looked complicated when i installed it, yeah, bitcomet is kinda slow.

Same for me too. I use Bitcomet and recently speed this too slow for downloading. Do anyone know can we can set up the download speed faster. Any Tutrioal?

I use utorrent and i dont think it matters as long as you have your port forwarded properly. Some trackers do ban certain torrent software , so you might want to check on that

to me, i think yes. Coz it seems like utorrent seem to run faster.
