There are too many general "what sports do you play" "what is your favourite sports" kinda thread already. It's time we had another one that's more specific. You know, maybe get a conversation going.

How often do you play? What racquet(s) do you use? Apparel (shoes, shorts, shirt, bags, etc..)? Where do you play? And anything else you'd like to talk about (relating to badminton).

I used to (not lately) play 3 times a week. I've never had coaching or played consistently enough to get to a decent level . I am currently using an Armortec 800 and occasionally Nanospeed 8000. I'm anxiously awaiting the Armortec 900 :o . I am currently using ashaway shoes, but they really suck and I'm gonna get some Mizuno's as soon as these wear out. I play around the Greater Toronto Area, Waterloo, Hamilton area, wherever I'm living. I prefer feather shuttles, although they are quite pricey.

lol.. I never played badminton seriously... I played 2 times each week for 3 months and then got bored I didn't really had special shoes or clothes...just normal sports wear but I remember that I paid pretty much for me racquet that wasn't even so good.. o___o Yonex is the brand and it was blue I think....don't know where it is now

I miss play Recreational Badminton... I REALLY do... I have racquets left here that hasn't been used for quite some time... oooh man... I really want to take it up again.

I've got an MP55, MP24, MP99 and Armortec 700 I think... I'm more used to plastic birds but will use feather if provided. and I just wear regular court shoes... nothing fancy.

I love to play badminton and now i don't have time to play. Maybe because i am addicted to the computer. I was a member in my school badminton team and i will find time to play badminton.

My shoes are just plain court shoes as well, but some are better than others. It's important to wear court shoes for safety reasons. Cross trainers are ok, but running shoes and basketball shoes are a big no-no.

I just wear regular t-shirts, nothing special. I forgot to bring shorts to my club session. I ended up buying a pair so I could play. They are Yonex CoolFit shorts. I don't feel they are any different from any shorts I've ever used, lol.

I love to play badminton. Been recently playing it at school weekly and since then, really enjoyed it. We got badminton racquets at home, lol! Erm, only thing is, my friends aren't so interested in sports so it's impossible if say, I wanted to ask them if they wanted to come play badminton. I have lazy friends -_-

What??? Badminton is so huge in the UK! You have so many good pros there! I would think given such circumstances, badminton would be more popular. I wish Canada had some good pros. I would love to watch them play.

OMG, i miss badminton very much. Used to play very often in Malaysia, but now working in Istanbul, cannot find any badminton court here since it is not popular here.

Nadminton is my all time favourite sport! I play it 5 times a week! It's good for exercising!

Whoa, you have the newest AT. How is it? I know which shoes you're talking about though. There are 2 models that are silver and red.

Ya, AT900. And for high end racquets, Yonex likes releases multiple types of the same model.

i play badminton regularly(3 times a week minumun)i play on my school team im currently raquetless before i broke my raquets which il talk about later on. I used Nanospeed 8000 Iso 90 Carbonex 8(Old school)anyways i broke all of them the same way LMAO all in the same spot i can show u guys if you want. but for the Carbonex 8 my dad put it somewhere haha. I smashed too hard on them haha =\ and the head broke like the top center snapps in half... sigh i dunno if i should be proud of this but my school is 11th in the province of B.C STUPID RICHMOND LOL....jokes jokes NOT REALLY IF ANYONE IS FROM BURNETT TELL WHILISS KWEE THAT I PWN HIM IN DYNASTY WARRIORS 4

Rackets snapping at the top is common because mishits occur there most often. That 12 o'clock and 9 o'clock position are the two that break most often. My MP100 also snapped at the 12 o'clock position :(

Nothing wrong with the Ti series. Ti-7 is a good racquet, and Ti-10 is an AMAZING racquet. Too bad they stopped shipping them to North America. They're always doing that so they can push their new lines... *******s...

I have yet to try the AT900, but the AT800 OF and DE are both really good. I personally prefer the defensive model but you really need to try both before making your own conclusion. I like the NS8000, but not so much the other ones.

I always try a racquet before buying, so I recommend the same to you (especially if you're spending so much $$). Everyone has their own preferences.

i play with my twin sister and we're great together as a team!
