Does anybody know if it's possible to change the RAM of the Sony PCG-GRX5P, I'm currently running on 512MB RAM. I'm not able to find anything from the net.

USUALLY notebooks come with 2 memory slots, which u can use a screwdriver to open on the bottom. but which parts to open u need to consult the manuals. and...what do u mean by change? by adding more? coz 512mb can be one stick of 512 or 2 sticks of 256. if it's the latter, ur likely gonna have to sacrifice one of the 256.

You should be able to find two slots in the back of your notebook. Should the 512M RAM that you currently have is not an single chip than u should be able ti buy another 512M to slip it in the second slot which should not be ocuppied

usually the highest u can go is 1024mb (1gig). and u'll need to take out one 256 stick to be able to upgrade.

np man, but it's better to go with brand-name memory though, some notebooks r picky. and....watch out for electrostatic discharge.
