Do you like the old music system or present (valve theory vs. transistor/digital)?

Hello my friends,
Before invention of transistors, we used radio with 'Valve' theory, which gave us lot of melody, it also provided more range of tonning. I feel, after transistor sets came into existance, melody has totally vanished. May be presnt generation may not agree, as they have known only present way. However, in India, whenever, any choice pf selection is invited every young participant go for old musical songs. Why, it is so. earlier days music and songs were nerve energising. One would stop and listen. Now-a-days, hardly any body has got idea about valve theory. Before that, we used to listen Gramophone. Now, I leave it to all, which is better. valve theory with more range of melody in music or now-days music. Pl. do share your views. Have a Good time.
