Backpacking to Europe?

I always wanted to go back packing off to Europe, but either i didn't have the time which is the case now, or I didn't have the money lol

Are there any people out there that have done it or am planning on doing it soon? I'd love to hear about experiences.

I have none. But my cousin did. Heard Europe was extremely expensive. I will want to visit Europe only for sight seeing, nothing to buy.

i know some stuff of Europe since I've been living here for 20 years... Everything is expensive! If you really want to meet cheap stuff, then choose a country from west Europe, like Czech Republic...
As for the sight seeing, it is true that it's wonderful! But 'living' here would be so annoying for an Asian person... well it must be a benefit if you're seeking for a peaceful life!

My country, Switzerland, is one of the most beautiful place, but it also one of the most expensive!!

lol.. I don't know I have always lived here.. and I don't think the stuff are that expensive. backpacking around europe shouldn't cost much...since there's train that goes to around europe almost.
I'm going to Belgium this year I will also visit Netherlands, Germany, France and maybe even UK with train.

Well it also depends on where you sleep... for the price of an asian hotel, you get to sleep in a youth hostel...

Switzerland is soooo nice! If you like somewhere cheaper, Prague is lovely too.

i would love to visit europe too...but yup...no money...so no way...maybe for honeymoon in future

back packing can be fun and not really that expensive. the biggest problem is going to be the language barrier. if youre only capable of speaking english you will have a hard time here in europe. especially in germany, france, spain, italy and east europe. im living in germany and i can tell you its just horrible how bad most of the germans are in english.

I have always wanted to backpack through Europe as well. The idea of just having everything in your backpack and meeting people as you travel seems so amazing to me. Sadly I have not had a chance/curage to do it.
