I have never been to Dubai. No plans to, but the country is pretty rich. Lots of nice cars.

Yeah, there is this show on TVB called 向世界出發 which this guy (argh dunno his name in eng) goes there and talks about how he feels about it.
The King over there is nice and gives many chances to the people living there.
Very inspirational show, encourage everybody to watch it.

I remember stopping in Dubai international airport during the trip back to Malaysia, that place is amazing and beautiful but airport security with semi-auto kinda scare me!

Spoke to someone from Dubai and if you plan to go there, you'll definately need to alter your sleeping hours. Apparently (due to the heat) the country works from the early hours of the morning (like 3 or 4am) and by afternoon, everyone's gone back home to sleep.The resume again in the late evenings about 8pm.

Dubai is nice. But just keep in mind it's part of Southwest Asia. It's of Arab-decent.
