Airline: Cathay Pacific
What do you think of the service that Cathy Pacific provides? I am going to fly with them in Feb 2008 to HK. Anybody have any thoughts about this airline?

i think they are the best airline service out of the ones that i've ever taken. well, not like i've taken anything else other than air canada. but air canada really sucks, they have like one huge tv screen that everyone shares and no snacks and that kinda stuff. cathay pacific gives each seat a tiny tv on the back of the seat in front of them (so everyone gets their own tv) and theres like all sorts of different channels you can choose to watch. depending on how far you're flying, they also provide all sorts of snacks and cup noodles and things to eat ^^ perfect for a junk foodie like me XD

the one thing that not good with the it was the service for me it wasn't that good i took this plane 4 weeks ago it...but if it was with snacks and things was ok but the food i think it wasn't either...but you haveyour own tv that was a good thing...it was just the service thing they have problem with...and they drop glasses on more then once so.. that wasn't that good

Cathay Pacific is pretty good. You get your own seat back TV, so u can watch whatever you want to watch... I just think they're a little pricey. I'd pick Cathay over a lot of other airlines though, if price wasn't a factor.

My experience with Cathy Pacific was great! I would give them an 8 for the service. It also nonstop to HK. I like to take direct flight and nonstop.

i can tell you that their attitude is a lot better than continental. their seats are preferred cuz they're a little wider actually. but only by like, an inch or two. but that does help!

My thoughts on this airline. Well firstly I'm a chinese-canadian and so naturally I feel more comfortable speaking in english most of the time. So I guess the flight attendants there are good enough for me to communicate with them.
I did find that the seats are much smaller compared to other airlines that I have been on. I especially did not like the planes which had the remote for the tv on the inside of the seats. Each time I moved around in the seat it would light up the "need flight attendant" button. It was annoying because even when I didn't need help, they came over..... :( i think that annoyed them too after many times.
Service overall wasn't horrible, but then of course I didn't find it being the best it can be. A rating of 1 (worst) to 10 (best) i would give them about a 7.

Oh.. I enjoyed my flight with Cathay. I recently fly with Cathay from Los Angeles to Hong Kong and then Malaysia to Los Angeles. The seat is spacious and the food in great! I love the services provided by the flight attendant. There is monitor screen located behind each chair.
I had my 1 yr old baby and they even gave me a seat for my baby from LA-HK flight bcos the flight is not full. They also provided a child kit (consist of diaper, lotion) and baby food onboard too!
Even though some might think the airfare is a bit costly, but I think I got a pretty good deals. I think Cathay have a good aircraft maintained and I think it will be safer to fly with it.
I definately will be a return customer for Cathay.
