Xbox DNS Erorr?

Ive been trying to connect to Xbox live for a week now and its worked perfectly in the past but it says the DNS failed...I am working with a router and wireless adapter. I've tried unplugging everything and trying different things but nothing seems to work. What should I do? Should I buy a new adapter?

-I have comcast...if that matters.

Create an xbox live account online at xbox.com, than just hit recover gametag on xbox dashboard, log in than you no need to do the test.

No point getting his gamertag if his connection doesn't work.

Try typing a manual DNS address.

On your desktop that also connects to the router,

Go to Start-> Run
type in 'cmd'
On the commandline type ipconfig /all

Search for your router's name and enter the DNS address found there into your xbox360 settings.
