I am receiving Yahoo mail on my Treo using the Mail Plus POP option. Why do I not receive all messages?

It seems that a message must first appear in the Inbox on web mail before becoming available to view remotely on my Treo. I have to first hit the "Check Mail" button on the web mail interface, which of course defeats the purpose of having the remote device. I wish to read both my Yahoo E-Mail and E-Mail from a non-Yahoo account. I have successfully set this up on the web interface, but wish to be able to obtain all these messages remotely using Snapper Mail on my Treo when a PC is not available. Is this possible?
