Downloading off of YouTube question?

Is there any way you can get a downloader to download only audio clips from YouTube (and not the video)? Or is that not possible?
Because I saw a Firefox plug-in saying it can download the videos off of youtube, but I'm more after audio clips (aka songs).
Is there any way I can do that?

no because the audio file is kinda engraved into the video but you can separately record the audio while playing the video.
